The people who make up the Household have a range of backgrounds. Some are gentry, some are servants, some are visitors and some are even on the edges of society - always a dangerous situation for both them and the establishment. Anyone without permission to travel and the means of support was liable to harsh treatment - usually being stripped to the waist and flogged at the tail of a cart until the blood ran, before being provided with a pass to take them back to either their home parish or the last parish they were known to have inhabited.
Because we are a voluntary group the people who attend particular events are not always the same. See some of them by clicking on the links.
