In a time without electricity, television or computers home entertainments were no less enjoyable. The scene shows us setting up for an event at the National Trust property Lodge Park, where we have taken games and pastimes of the period to show to the visitors. In the foreground is a table with examples of period board games and cards (in a card press to keep them flat). On the table beyond at the right are games like chess and backgammon. We use designs as authentic as we can get them.
We can bring a wide range of games from the simplest of games and toys available to relatively poor families to such things as authentic chess and backgammon.
