Living and learning in the past for you

The Household, because of our speciality within domestic situations, is constantly looking for appropriate sites at which to show what we do. Typically, these will be historic houses or castles with suitable accommodation. Ideally we seek properties where our kitchen specialists can authentically prepare 17th-century food, cooking on an open fire. Where this is impossible, we can produce displays of dishes appropriate for buffets of the period (see Food and Drink).

Sites at which you may have seen The Household in operation include the following:

Penyclawdd Court, nr Abergavenny (private property)
Bolsover Castle (English Heritage)
Harvington Hall, nr Kidderminster (Roman Catholic Diocese of Birmingham)
Chirk Castle (National Trust)
Lodge Park, nr Northleach (National Trust)

If you have a property which you think The Household could bring to life, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are non-profit-making, so we can provide an excellent value-for-money attraction, which your visitors will remember long afterwards.
